Position Overview
We are looking for a Communication Manager (freelance or payroll) to drive the development and execution of marketing and communication initiatives that reflect our vision, value, and innovations within the agtech space.
This role is designed to be project-based, allowing you to tackle one initiative at a time, with support from a marketing agency and a freelance content creator. It’s ideal for someone who enjoys ownership and flexibility, while working closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to elevate both brand and product visibility.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Communication & Marketing
- Develop and implement focused communication and marketing strategies in line with company goals.
- Identify key opportunities to enhance visibility and reputation through campaigns, SEO, brochures, and other channels.
2. Stakeholder Engagement
- Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. investors, partners, media).
- Advise leadership on communication strategies and support high-impact outreach.
3. Content Coordination
- Define and guide the content strategy across platforms—social media, website, press releases, and more.
- Oversee consistent use of brand templates and assets (e.g. presentations, videos, brochures).
- Coordinate with a freelance content creator for execution.
4. Campaign & Initiative Implementation
- Lead the implementation of campaigns with support from a marketing agency and other freelancers.
- Monitor effectiveness using key metrics, and adapt strategies based on data and feedback.
- Ensure alignment with the company’s overall brand and strategic messaging.
5. Market Insight & Reporting
- Analyze trends, competitors, and stakeholder feedback to inform strategic decisions.
- Provide reports and recommendations to leadership based on marketing performance and research.
6. Event Planning (as needed)
- Support planning and coordination for industry events, including booth content and promotional material.
Qualifications and skills
- A relevant degree in Communication, Journalism, Public Relations and/or related field.
- Knowledge and/or interest in environmental issues, agriculture, biology or related areas.
- Computer skills: proficiency in Word, Power Point. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is an asset.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English is mandatory. Proficiency in Dutch is a plus.
- You are dynamic, creative, proactive, enthusiastic, flexible, and committed to delivering results.
- You possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- You possess excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
